Reflection:
On this year's annual canoe trip, we were detained by Sylvie's decision to jump from Bill's canoe into mine. It was no surprise that she missed; Mike retrieved her and became our hero! We had no choice but to stop the trek and re-assign our seats to suit sweet Sylvie, who could not bear to have Bill and I riding in separate canoes. We took time, then, to admire the underbelly of the structure above us.....an old rickety bridge that had supported many a train over the years. Every detail, from the steel framing to the stains of rust, added to the picturesque scene of that moment.
